Lawrence Jonas Beitzel,86, of Bittinger Road, Grantsville, Md died January 1, 1999.
He was born September 12, 1913, at Bittinger, MD, the 5 child of Dan Beitzel and his wife Annie Schrock Beitzel.
He had a grammar school education and was a welder by trade. He was owner and operator of the Beitzel Welding Shop. His interests included making windmills, golfing, bowling and hunting. On December 13, 1935, he was married to Thelma Yoder. Lawrence and Thelma resided at Grantsville, MD and were loyal members of the Cherry Glade Conservative Mennonite Church.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years and two sons: Olen Beitzel of Grantsville, Denver Beitzel of Accident, two daughters: Anna Marie Maust of Accident, Delores Stephens of Grantsville. He is survived by brothers Freeman, sisters Hilda Beitzel, Fannie Peachey, predeceased by brothers Roy, Elmer, Alvin, Raymond, Gorman, Melvin, Leo, sister Nona.
Lawrence was buried in the Cherry Glade Cemetery.
