STIERHOFF - On May 10, 1902, Margaret E, in her 48th year, beloved wife of J Fred Stierhoff. She calmly closed her eyes in peace, we know to her it was sweet release; She spoke of death as going home, and often prayed the hour would come. We sat beside her hour by hour and saw her slowly fade away; Her chamber seemed not that of death, so calm and peacefully she lay. Friends and relatives of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from her late residence, No 818 Woodward street thence to St Mark's P E Church. Interment in Loudon Park.

Possibly born in Pennsylvania, the wife of John Frederick Stierhoff (1850 - 1907), the mother of Johanna, John Frederick Jr. (1878-1944), Margaret Kate (1878-1881), Ludwig Andrew, Charles D, George Coffoth (1896 - 1929), and Margaret L.

Margaret was the daughter of Ludwig and Johanna Lizetta (nee Broening) Emmerich; the sister of Henry Jacob, Frederick, Ludwig Andrew, William, Evva, August, Elizabeth, and Catherine Emmerich.
