Son of Ezek Wilbur and Rebecca Taber. (w1) of Lydia Norton and (w2) Abigail Potter.

He was a wheelwright. Known for making high quality products in his area. In 1812 he erected a miniature corn or gristmill upon the stream where he lived. He resided in Carbondale over 50 years, and died on a farm near Hollisterville.
