Mrs. S. Rosa Harrington died on Tuesday, September 21, 1926 at her residence at the Gordon Hotel. She was the widow of Brigadier General Francis Henry Harrington, United States Marine Corps. He was a native of the District of Columbia and entered military service in 1864, serving 40 years. He died in 1906, two years after he retired from active duty. Survivors included two daughters: Mrs. Newt H. Hall, wife of Colonel N.H. Hall of the Marine Base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and Mrs. A.H. McCormick of the District of Columbia. Requiem mass was at St. Matthew's Church. Interment was private.
