Mr. Sam D. Acree, 33, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away on October 23, 2011. Sam graduated from Newnan High School in 1997 and was a graduate of West Georgia Technical College in LaGrange, Ga. He worked several automotive jobs, including Westside Tire and Yamaha of Newnan. He was currently employed by Kia of West Point, Georgia. Sam loved working on cars in his free time and playing with his niece and nephews. Sam was a Christian and was baptized at Royal Baptist Church by his uncle, Dr. Paul Dennis. Sam also attended Crossroads Baptist with his best friend, Curtis Palmer. Sam was a loving, caring man that always had a smile on his face. Sam is survived by his parents, W.R. Acree and Donna Dennis Acree; his brother, David Acree and his wife Juli; beloved niece, Kyleigh Acree; nephews, Zach & Eli Acree; grandmother, Novelle Yarbrough Dennis. Sam was preceded in death by his grandparents: H.G. Dennis, Samuel Frank and Gladys Acree. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers are Clint Richmond, Russ Jackson, Russ Hardeman, Justin Gibson, Mike Duncan, Curtis Palmer, Jay Davis, Andrew Dennis and Adam Dennis. Condolences can be expressed online at www.mckoon.com . The funeral is Thursday, Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Dennis & Mr. Curtis Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The visitation is Wednesday evening between 6 -8 at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Rebecca Miolen Scholarship Fund, 5175 Smokey Road, Newnan, GA 30263.
