According to Philadelphia City Directories from 1793 to 1807, Augustus Ginder was a buttonmaker, an Innskeeper, and a shopkeeper in the section of Upper Delaware Ward at the section of Vine and North Second street.
August T. Ginder died on February 21, 1807, of apoplexy, and buried at German Lutheran Cemetery, now defuncted, on February 23, 1807. The graves at German Lutheran were re-interred to Philadelphia Memorial Park in Frazer, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
