Lulu Ann Deatherage, daughter of Henry M. and Mary Catherine Davis was born March 28, 1884 at Xenia, Kan., and passed away at the Bellwood General Hospital in Bellflower, Cal., on January 9, 1965 at the age of 80 years, nine months and 12 days.

At an early age she moved with her family to Welch, Okla. On March 20, 1913 she was united in marriage to William Coleman Deatherage. To this union one daughter was born. They lived on a farm near Reynolds, Neb., for 10 years before moving to California where they lived for one year. They then moved to a farm near Cuba, Kan., and later to Munden. The family moved from Munden to Spokane, Wash., in 1943. She has lived in Bellflower since 1950.

She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist church of Bellflower. She was a 50 year member of the Munden, Kan., Eastern Star, a past worthy matron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and five brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Maxine Kinz, son-in-law, George Kinz, three grandchildren, Ken, Connie Sue and Katherine Marie Kinz of Bellflower, one sister, Mrs. Ethel Hensley, Fresno, Cal., two brothers Lee and Leonard Davis, Vinita, Okla., and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
