Daughter of William Carr and Martha Louisa Evans Power, wife of Malcolm C. Woods.

MARION - Mrs. Sara P. Woods, widow of Malcolm C. Woods, lawyer of Marion, died after a lengthy illness at her home here early this morning.

Mrs. Woods was a native of Marion, a daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. W. C. Power. She was an active member of the First Methodist Church for over 50 years until her health began to fail. Mrs. Woods also was active in civic affairs, being a member of the Daphne Garden Club which she served as president for two years.

Funeral services will be conducted by her pastor, the Rev. T. M. Godbold at the First Methodist Church at 4 p.m. Tuesday with burial following in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Malcolm C. Woods, Jr. of Marion, and Capt. William P. Woods, US; a sister, Miss Julia L. Power of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
