Mrs. Ida Sarah Robertson died at the home of her daughter, Miss Laverne
Robertson, in Meyersdale at 4:50 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, after an
illness of several months. Mrs. Robertson was an invalid for about 10 years
after the death of her husband, William F. Robertson, of Boynton, in 1938. A
cerebral hemorrhage finally ended her days.
She was born in Elk Lick Township on March 27, 1874, daughter of Rebecca
(Mull) and Augustus Winters, and had lived 74 years, five months and 27 days at
her passing. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church.
She is survived by seven sons - Harry and Allen, Boynton; Markle and Carl,
Eckhart, Md.; Elmer, Meyersdale; Owen, Cresaptown, Md., and Kenneth, Cumberland,
Md., and by three daughters - Mrs. Grace Deniker, Meyersdale; Mrs. Maude Adams,
Buffalo Mills, and Miss Laverne, Meyersdale.
Funeral services were conducted in the Thomas Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m.,
Saturday, September 25, with her pastor, the Rev. Ira S. Monn, officiating.
Interment was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in charge of Mortician Stanley M.
Thomas.
