James W. Andrews, 83, died late Monday night at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Andrews, one-half mile south of Plymouth, after a short illness. A life-long resident of Sheboygan County, he was born March 28, 1866, in the town of Plymouth, the son of Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Andrews, pioneer residents in the area. Following the death of his first wife, Anna Wieland, in 1895, Mr. Andrews was married to Susan Brown in 1897. She preceded him in death in 1943. He was a member of the First Congregational church at Plymouth.
Survivors are the son, Leslie; two daughters, Mrs. Fern Scowden and Mrs. Howard (Emily) Helmer, Plymouth; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Avis Weeks, Manitowoc. Two children, a grandson, three brothers and four sisters also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Wittkopp Funeral home, Plymouth, with the Rev. Samuel Bullough, pastor of the First Congregational church, officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery.
