Fronita Lillian Harden Mayberry was married to Carlton Edward "Tommy" Todd. They had six children: Thomas Patrick Todd (1950); Sandra Edwina Todd (1951); twins: James Edward Todd and William Richard Todd (1954), Theresa Carline Todd (1958) and Donna Elizabeth Hope Todd (1959). Fronita's mother, Lillian Kitchings Harden, died in 1932, when Fronita was four years old. Fronita and two of her sisters are buried beside their mother, Lillian in the Portal Cemetery. In her later years of life, Fronita created "Chi Chi" dolls. These cloth dolls with big eyes and yarn hair all had "Chi Chi" and their creation date on the bottom of a foot. Many are still treasured possession of people around Statesboro and Pembroke areas. Fronita was also a creative chef. Her last employment was working at the Atlanta Womens Mission. In her early life she worked with Bob Hope "on the road."
