Hood, Vilena Klatt (Goodins) 104 April 06, 1907 Oct. 22, 2011 Vilena was born in Astoria. She moved to a donation land claim near Cornelius with her parents when she was 2. She attended school in Cornelius, Hilllsboro and Teachers Training in Monmouth. She married Clarence T. Klatt in 1926. They were married 40 years until his death in 1966. She later married Dr. Donald Hood. They shared 10 years until his death in 1995. She was a bookkeeper for Ainsworth Food Store for many years. She was an avid bridge player. She also enjoyed the game of golf. She was a past matron of Cornelia Chapter 22 and a past queen of Daughters of the Nile, Nadia Temple 4. She is survived by her daughter, Joy McCarter Gilliam. At her request, there will be no service. Interment in family plot at River View Cemetery.
