Youngest son of James Thomas Heflin and Alice Anderson Heflin. Born in 1891 near Ruby in Stafford County, Virginia. Died 1952 in Arlington, Virginia, where he had a successful restaurant and gas station business. Married 15 Jan. 1909 in Fauquier County to Nellie Estelle Colvin. He lived at Catlett for some time before moving to Washington, D.C. and then to Arlington in 1930. His nickname was "Reuben" according to his daughter, L. Virginia Heflin Rumph Neyhouse. A carpenter, he worked on the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. before becoming a restauranteur/service station owner. Four children: Oscar, Edd, Virginia and Gary. As of June 2012, Virginia and Gary are both alive and living in Prince William County, Va.

Note: Gary died Dec. 3, 2015.

His mother was Alice Anderson Heflin who died when he was three years old. The family is not sure where she is buried - Stafford or Fauquier.
