Death Wednesday last week, after an illness of 5 days with pneumonia, of Mr. Zela Soper, a veteran of the Civil War who served with the 19th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment. The deceased, who lived near Cato, was 68-years old and had come to Manitowoc County in 1854. He is survived by his sorrowing widow and several children. The funeral was held Saturday under the direction of the local G.A.R. Post to which the deceased belonged.
