Mark Hanna Taylor, age 83, U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, at rest October 27, 2011 at Lexington Health Care Center in Streamwood after a long illness. Mark was born in Chicago on November 2, 1927. Devoted husband of the late Ione (nee Fee) for 36 years. Survived by sons: Robert (Suzanne) Taylor of Elgin, IL, Gerald (Mary Ann) Taylor of Valparaiso, IN, Ronald (Carolyn) Taylor of Rockwood, TN and Barry (Alicia) Wroblewski of North Port, FL; grandfather of 14: James, William, Sarah, Megan, Amy, Michelle, Cheryl, Amanda, Jeff, Jason, Gary, Dinah, Shannon and Brian; many great grandchildren; fond "Uncle Chuck" to nephew Michael (Terri) Liesenfelt; nieces: Kathleen (Bradley) Stark, Marilyn Laczkowski, Kim Rosolowski and Pam (James) Lesczynski; many great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Catherine (nee Noctin) Swanson; stepfather, Walter J. Swanson; sister, Patricia (nee Swanson) Liesenfelt; grandsons: Melvin Wroblewski, Steven Wroblewski and Dominick Lemus; and nephew, Martin Liesenfelt. Mark worked for George O'Day's Inc. in Hammond for many years until his retirement in 2010. For over 20 years, Mark and Ione spent many happy summers with family and friends at their summer retreat in Winamac, IN. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation of America or a Pet Rescue organization of your choice. A memorial service will be held at Hennessy-Nowak Funeral Home 400 Pulaski Rd. (154th St.) Calumet City, IL on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. until time of service 2:30 p.m. Interment private.

Mark was raised by Walter John Swanson his stepfather and his mother Catherine Elizabeth (nee Noctin) Swanson since the age of two.
