William Blanford "Jack" Broyles Jr., 83 years, 2 months and 3 days of age, of Science Hill, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

Jack was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on September 2nd, 1928, son of the late William B. Broyles, Sr. and Ada Goff Broyles. He served in the United States Army in Panama during World War II. He was a landscape artist, a carpenter and expert underwater welder, and was of the Methodist Faith.

Jack was survived by three sons, Jack Wiseman of Cincinnati, Ohio, Willliam B. "Bear" Broyles III of Lebanon, Kentucky, and James Dale "Teddy" Broyles of Columbia, Kentucky; three daughters, Jacqueline Broyles of Louisville, Kentucky, Jackie Lynne Broyles (and Michael) Burleson, and Sallye Lynnette Broyles, both of Monticello, Kentucky; three brothers, James Monroe (and Bernice) Broyles, Harry Addison (and Shirley) Broyles, and Hollis Brent (and Judy) Broyles; and five sisters, Estella Louise Broyles Gallenstein, Jo Ann Broyles (and Joe Robert) Vaught, Betty Mae Broyles (and Edwin) Stockdale, Donna Sue Broyles (and James O. ) Burdine, and Jerry Rae Broyles (and Charles Louis) Dick; and a special friend, Ann Wesley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Ada Broyles; one sister, Ethel A. Broyles; one brother, Cloyd Densmore Broyles; and three nephews, Tim Burdine, Steven Broyles, and John Vaught.

Visitations were held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8th, 2011 at the Somerset Undertaking Company & Crematory in Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011 in the chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory with Clarence Floyd, chaplain for American Legion Post No#38 officiating.

A military service honoring Jack was performed by the American Legion Post No#38.

Interment followed in the Burnett's Chapel Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
