Harold Dean Wheat, born on the 4th of June 1924, passed away on the 6th of November 2011.

Mr. Wheat was a man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He particularly enjoyed hunting, archery, sailing, and making knives. He loved going to dinner club, poker, and Friday nights at April Sound.

He is survived by his daughters, Judy Roach and Jan Keegen; granddaughter, Kimberly Roach Overall; grandsons, Quad Roach, Sean Keegan, Kiffer Keegan, Patrick Keegan, and Michael Keegan; and seven great-grandchildren.

The memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Thursday, the 10th of November, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

Prior to the service, the family will have gathered for a private interment at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in honor of Mr. Wheat may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 2425 Fountain View Dr., Suite 280, Houston, TX, 77057.
