Vera Alice Griffith Bryan of Billings passed away December 15th, 1990 at the age of 91. She was born July 28, 1899 in Marian Township, Washington County, Iowa, on the family's rural farm the eighth of ten children to Albert Allen and Katherine C. Long Griffith. By 1905 the family had moved to a Minnesota farm and by 1910 to a rented rural farm in Big Timber, Sweet Grass County, Montana.
She married George Frank Bryan in Big Timber April 21st, 1923. Together they had four children, Marjorie J (1924-1993), Arthur Zahn (1925-2011), Hazel M (1930-2003), and Robert L "Bobby" (1937-1957). She was preceded in death by her husband George Frank Bryan June 11, 1962 and their eldest son, Robert L. "Bobby" Bryan in 1957.
