can't make out what it says could be Lucy, which is what my Aunt who was born in 1914 thought. I think they called her Lucy Catherine, which she was probably named after her mother Elizabeth Catherine and they nick named her Lucy instead of Lizzy, So I call her Sarah Catherine "Lucy" Brown. Then on November 10 1884 they had another son, George Mason Brown in Ottawa, Franklin Kansas, Then on January 11 1887 they had another daughter, Jennie Brown, No one knows if she had a middle name. They had her in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas. then they moved to Appanoose, Franklin County Kansas. Anyway that is where Robert Harrison was farming, I don't know if he owned land or if it was for someone else. Then about 1894 Sarah Catherine "Lucy" Brown was killed in farm accident when she was accidentally ran over by a mower. That must of caused great hardship because in Oct 1895 Robert Harrison Brown & Elizabeth Catherine were divorced. Robert Harrison then Moved to Alamota, Lane County, Kansas with his children, bought some land and started farming their where he remained the rest of his years. In 1899 Robert Castleman Brown and Jennie Brown went and lived with mother and step-father. Robert Harrison Brown met Bertha A Lanham and was married in 1908, His Daughter Jennie Brown also married same year to Earl Fisher. Robert Harrison Brown family lived in a sod House, Son Robert Castleman joined Navy about 1909. Then on November 24 1910, his son George Mason Brown met and Married Carrie Etta Brown/Smith and they lived with him. In the middle of March 1914 Robert Harrison and His wife Bertha Moved out of sod house and moved into an old wooden house 1/2 mile north of farm so Mason and Carrie could live by themselves in sod house, they said wood house was a lot colder. Mason signed a petition for a road, and came back and found out it was granted in February 1916, November 4 1916 Robert Harrison Brown's brother was killed by a railroad switching Engine. Robert Harrison Brown Passed Away February 12 1928, at 3:30 P.M. on farm at Alamota, Lane County, Kansas.
