dau/o Samuel L. and Almyra Babcock
"The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 10, No 5, p 19, July 14, 1853.
In Adams, N. Y., June 22d, sister Hannah Babcock, daughter of Samuel L. Babcock, aged 21 years. In the death of this young Christian, the church and society, and the family of which she was a member, have sustained a great loss. From the scenes of hilarity and pleasure she will not be missed; but in the prayer circle and sick room her loss will be felt.
She died as she lived - a Christian. When living, death had no terror for her - it had lost its sting. In her death, the grave gained no victory - she died in the Lord. Her memory will be cherished long in the heart of the church and the Sabbath-School, where we bow to this bereavement in sad resignation.
