Betty passed away on August 28, 2011. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and confidant to many. She adored her 3 children, Jay, Bob, and Jane and she loved each one of her grandchildren.

Betty was born March 18, 1920 in Pittsburgh, PA. Her proudest accomplishment was earning her degree in nursing in 1941. Many in Santa Maria will remember her as the nurse of the local CBS Record plant for 17 years, retiring in 1982.

She did the best she could, gave what she was able and worked hard at what was expected of her. Her door was open to anyone and her heart was willing to listen.

Betty knitted afghans for her family, could read a novel in one day, loved to listen to the music of the 40's & 50's, but watching the Lakers was her greatest seasonal past-time.

Her family is left with wonderful memories and stories of her life. To her friends, we would like to say Thank You for all your love, support and kind words of encouragement. And to all those who assisted her in her final days, we are forever grateful.

Betty is now in the presence of the Lord. She knew the Truth and the Truth set her free.

A graveside service was held Sept. 2, 2011 at the Santa Maria Cemetery.
