Her son John Thomas Black preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held at Oxford University United Methodist Church on Friday, November 11, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Warren Black officiating. The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. The graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, TN.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles E. Black, Sr.; one son, Charles E. Black, Jr. and his wife Linda of Germantown, TN; one daughter, Leslie Ann White of Oxford, MS and four grandchildren, Charles E. Black III of Nashville, TN, Whitney Marie Black of Chattanooga, TN, Tyler Ann White and Grace Elizabeth White both of Oxford, MS. Mrs. Black was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church. A native Memphian, Mrs. Black was also a former member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis, TN.
