Lola Jay Berry, 67, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, April 30, 1944 to the late Charley and Lola Day Hall Goates. She was a dispatcher for the Refugio County Sheriff's Office. She was a dedicated mom and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ron Berry, sister, Vivian Goates Gross.

She is survived by daughter, Renee Berry (Dean O'Donnell) of Woods boro, son Ronnie (Cassidie) Berry of Refugio, grandchildren: Sunny Jay Berry, Lil Dean O'Donnell, Stormy O'Donnell, Melissa O'Donnell, Baileigh Schmiet, and Dakota Schmiet; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is was Wednesday, November 9, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Refugio. Services will be Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 3:00 p.m., First Baptist Church, Woods boro, with Rev. Jimmy Arnold officiating.

Burial will follow at LaRosa Cemetery in Woods boro.

Pallbearers are Tencha McGuill, Diane Ramon Garza, Ron Kruger, Dean Ochoa, Roy Cisneros, and Bobby Bolcik.
