Jeannette O. Bloss
Jeannette O. Bloss, 86, formerly of North East, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 at Absolut Care of Orchard Park, N.Y. She was born on November 21, 1924 in Orlando, Fla. a daughter of the late Elah and Nannie Kate Kincheloe Orton.
Jeannette graduated from Lake Erie College in 1946 and taught third grade for 23 years with the North East School District, retiring in 1981.
She was a member of Park United Methodist Church in North East.
Jeannette enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, cooking, crafts and working in her garden
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter (Bud) Bloss in 1994 and one brother Robert Orton.
Jeannette is survived by four daughters, Susan Dixon and her husband Robert of Sewell, N.J., Georgia Lee Goodspeed and Patricia Ann Bloss both of Hamburg, N.Y. and Holly Wilcox and her husband Gary of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. Also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, North East, Pa. on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend funeral services there on Friday at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Mark E. Hecht will officiate.
Interment at a later date will be in North East Cemetery.
