At the age of 73, Zola Acosta Brazell Worthen died Saturday, April 27, 2002 at Baptist Medical Center Nassau on Amelia Island, FL.

A native of Lake City, she had lived in Fernandina Beach most of her life. She managed the Home Office of Sunbelt Finance Company in Spartenburg, S.C., and managed offices in Georgia and Fort Pierce before retiring after 20 years and moving back to Fernandina Beach. While on Amelia Island, she was the administrative supervisor for the Humphreys Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Baptist faith and a longtime member of the Moose Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Besides her parents William Monroe Acosta and Ellie Sally Norris Acosta, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Hilton L. Brazell, who was her children's father, and Ed Worthen and a son, Donnie Lee Brazell.

Survivors include a son, two daughters, a sister, four grandchildren three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home and Interment followed in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
