Actor, Film Producer, Film Studio Executive. Brother of writer Alice Eyton, Charles was general manager of Paramount Pictures the silent film era and prior to that, served as a promoter for prize fighters. Eyton also served as a referee in the prize ring and at one time officiated the world championship battle. He produced several film serials that starred his wife, Kathlyn Williams, whom he divorced in 1931. Eyton is also believed to be one of the first to arrive at director William Desmond Taylor's apartment to remove evidence from Taylor's murder. It has been confirmed that a Detective allowed Eyton access to the home, before it was searched by police. It was speculated that Eyton may have possibly planted forged letters to Taylor from a handful of actresses, to futher add to the complications of the case. Eyton died from pneumonia.
