She was the daughter of Homer Grandville and Allyne Hazel Lotz Christensen. She was a licensed practical nurse and had retired from Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Huntsville, Arkansas. She was the widow of Robert Wolfe Fletcher.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Rick Ward of Witter, Arkansas, Brian and Tracy Ward of Reno, Nevada and Craig and Karen Ward of Seattle, Washington; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Charles Clark of Anchorage, Alaska; one stepson, David Fletcher of Witter, Arkansas; two stepdaughters and one stepson-in-law, Susan Patterson of Anchorage, Alaska and Barbara and Allen Newton of Portugal; several brothers and sisters; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
