Gene Gabriel Celaya, aged 51, passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2011.

He was the devoted and beloved father of Rebekah Ann, Elizabeth Irene, Gabrielle Gene and Eric Matthew. Gene was the precious son of Eleanor Horn (Ike) and the late Genaro Celaya. He leaves behind seven siblings who treasured their time with him: Jim (Cindy), Virginia (Steve), Delisa (Lee), Danita (Clarence), John (Nora), Davida (Andrew) and Candida (Dave). Gene was also the cherished uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Gene was an avid bicyclist, enthusiastic softball coach, and tireless storyteller. He was a loyal friend and never hesitated to share his gifts and talents with everyone he met. His large and diverse circle of friends will miss him dearly.

Services will be held at Faith Community Church, 1211 E. Badillo St., Covina, CA on November 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the education fund being established for his young children at the Covina Branch of the Bank of the West.

Gene married Lori A Zemlicka on Oct. 2 1982 in Los Angeles County, California.

Gene Gabriel Celaya, aged 51, passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2011.
