Darlene Daniel, 76, of Prineville, passed away July 1, 2011. There will be a grave side service at Juniper Haven Cemetery on Friday July 8, 2011 at 10 a.m. Pastor Matt Huff will officiate.
Darlene was born Dec. 20, 1934 in Kansas City, Kan. to Fred and Mamie (Wells) Snell.
She attended high school in Kansas City, Kan., and after school, she married and started a family. Darlene was a homemaker all her life, and she always thought of others and helped them any way she could. She was very involved in her church. She sang in the choir and loved playing the piano.
Darlene married Bruce Daniel on April 20, 1996 in Prineville at the Church of Nazarene.
Darlene's hobbies included baking, making candles, and reading. She had a special green thumb for her plants, loved all animals – especially birds, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Bruce Daniel of Prineville; two daughters, Gwenda (Edwin) Ivers of Fayetteville, NC, Janeen (Robert) Sinclair of Independence, Mo.; son, Everett (Christy) Major of Morrison, Colo., two brothers, Robert Snell of Laurie, Mo., and William Snell of Kansas City, Kan.; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband (Everett Major Jr.) and one great-grandson.
