MILES CITY, MT. --- E. L. "Roy" Alexander, 92, died early Tuesday morning i Parker, AZ. after a short illness

He was born in Washington, IN. a son of Samuel and Leuonia Alexander.

He attended schools in Linton, IN., where he graduated from high school.

He moved west in 1912 and settled in Oregon for a short time before coming to Miles City.

He was a World War I Veteran.

He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad as a Brakeman and Conductor on passenger trains until 1934.

He married Clara Fuch October 1932, in Mandan, N.D.
They lived in Miles City.

He worked on the family ranch three miles east of Jordan for man years.

Mrs. Alexander died in the late 1960's.

He then married Jessie McDermand Dec. 27, 1971 in Minneapolis, MN.
They lived in Miles City.

He was a member of Last Man's Club, American Legion, a life member of Knights of Columbus, past chairman and associated with the American Red Cross and director of United States Savings Bonds in the Garfield County area.

Survivors include his wife, a son, James of Seattle, WA., a daughter Mrs., Chuck (Mary Helen) Farrand of Houston, TX., four sisters, Mrs. Grace Norman of Miles City, MT., Mrs. Glen (Mary) McClung and Mrs. Edward (Josephine) Moran both of Pasadena, CA., and Mrs. Paul (Cicley) Murphy of Lewistown, MT.; 15 grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited 8 p.m. Friday in J.E. Graves Funeral Home.
Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Burial and military honors in the Calvary Cemetery, Miles City, MT.
