CRONKHITE, Anna "Annie" (Sorano) Meade Anna "Annie" (Sorano) Meade Cronkhite, 69, of Vernon, beloved wife for 23 years of Delbert R. Cronkhite, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, (September 26, 2007) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on July 20, 1938, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (D'Anzi) Sorano, she had lived in East Hartford for many years before moving to Vernon five years ago. Annie was a member of Community Crossroads Cathedral in East Hartford. In her spare time Annie enjoyed making crafts and spending time with her family. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Michael Meade of East Hartford; three daughters, Leslie McLea of Roanoke, VA, Pat Suchecki of Vernon, and Laura Lofland of Canton, SD; four stepsons, Michael Cronkhite of Rocky Hill, Paul Cronkhite of Dellion, FL, Robert Cronkhite of Rocky Hill, and Mark Cronkhite of Wethersfield; a step daughter, Karen Harrison of Glastonbury; two sisters, Mary Timms of Maine and Milie Rossi of Rocky Hill; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1, 10 a.m., at the Ladd Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd., Vernon. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
