In 1911 Fred and Clara along with his brother James G. Davis moved to San Antonio, Texas. Where Fred and his brother started working as farmers. Later they went to work for the City Produce Terminal. Fred was the accountant.
He was survived by: Sister: Hiley Skinner of Iowa. Daughter in law: Mrs Melvin O Davis of San Antonio; Grandsons: Fred, David and Mark Davis all of San Antonio: Granddaughter Anita V Davis. 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday November 27, 1970 at Roy Akers Funeral Home with the Rev. DeWitt Chandler Jr officiating. Entombment followed in Roselawn Cemetery. Roselawn is now know as San Fernando Cemetery# 3.
