V. Ruth Larson 94 of Charlotte (formerly of Wyoming) Michigan, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the Dimondale Center. Ruth was born August 25, 1911 in Big Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Elige and Eva (Murrow) Shadowens.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Robert Jourden of Charlotte; grandchildren, Julie (Leland) Hammel of Ramsey, MN, Deborah (David) Nelson of Stafford, VA; Kimberly Jourden of Paw Paw, MI; special friend Lori Harris of Paw Paw, MI; great grandchildren, Robert, William and Kathleen Hammel; Amanda, Rebecca and Michael Nelson; sister-in-law, Frances Shadowens; niece, Marilyn Hosford; nephew, Robert Shadowens and many great and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; infant daughter, Darlene Jean; her parents; brothers, Alvin, Carl and sister-in-law Hazel Shadowens.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2006 at the Church of Christ, Charlotte with Thomas Haynie officiating. Interment will be at Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Rapids. Visitation will be Sunday, February 5, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice House.
