Died, at her home near Leando, of complications of diseases, September 15, 1905, Hettie, wife of Seth Baird of west Van Buren township, aged 37 years, 3 months and 7 days. Hettie, as she was familiarly know, grew to womanhood at Leando and there at her father's home she was married to Seth Baird May 6, 1891. To them were born three children, one son and two daughters. Hettie was a good wife and a loving mother. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed at the home, also in the neighborhood where she lived and at her father's home there was no one like Hettie. Dear Hettie, we grieve, but our loss is your gain. The Lord doeth all things for the best. Source: Van Buren County Genealogical Society Obituary Scrapbook A, page 366, Keosauqua Public Library; Keosauqua, Iowa
