Our Dad
Author Frank Stanfill ~ Nov. 2003

He never led any large armies, for they say he was not a great man.
He only taught us to love each other,
our neighbors and to help out wherever we can.
He never designed or built any tall buildings,
For they say he was not a great man.
He only taught us to be honest, to uphold and to be proud of the family name and not to build our lives on sinking sand.
He never ran for public office,
For they say he was not a great man.
But we know better and they just don't understand.

My Mom and Dad
Author: Frank Stanfill ~ Nov. 2003

Let me tell you about the two best friends that I've ever had. One was my mom the other my dad.
They were always there for me, in good times or bad, when I was happy or when I was sad. When I was in trouble and didn't know what to do, they would say have faith in God, and he will pull you through. I would like to see dad smile, and to hear mom pray, but I guess I will have to wait, and hope to see them in heaven some day.
