He was born December 23, 1952 in Kansas City Kansas to Charles and Delores Bukaty Anderson and graduated in 1971 from Washington High School in Kansas City, Kansas. In January 1979 he trained and became a Boilermaker of Union Hall Local #83 in Kansas City, Missouri where he worked 39 years before retiring May 1st, 2008, but continued to be a welder instructor and taught OSHA training classes at the Union Hall for another 3 years.
Mark was also the pastor at Living Water Fellowship Church in Hiawatha, Where he spread the word of God to many people. He performed many weddings and baptisms. He was also very involved in missionary ministries in our area as well as Bulgaria, Germany and the Netherlands just to name a few. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing the guitar as well as hunting, cooking, gardening and boating. He had many hobbies, including stamp and coin collecting.
He married Pam Howard on September 7th, 1991 she survives at the home. Also surviving are his parents Charles and Delores of Lake of the Ozarks; four children: Joe Anderson and Stephanie Anderson both of Kansas City, Kansas, Tami Kent of Sabetha, Kansas and Russ Howard of Sparta, Missouri. He has 3 brothers Glenn Anderson of Seattle, Washington, Don Anderson of Lake of the Ozarks, Keith Anderson of Kansas City, Kansas; 2 Sisters: Dene Vogrin of Kansas City, Kansas and Marsha Anderson of Kansas City, Missouri; 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grand Children, several nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by 2 brothers David and Dale Anderson.
Celebration of Life services are planned for 2 p.m.Saturday November 19, 2011 at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha. Pastor Don Goatley will officiate. Internment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Robinson.
