John A. Branton, 67, of 16 River Street, proprietor of Branton's Dairy died at his home at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday (9 Feb 1954). He was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage last July 4 while on a fishing trip in Canada and had been in poor health since. A native of Stafford, Mr. Branton was born October 28, 1886, a son of Augustus and Anna Fisher Branton. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of Glenn S. Loomis Post, American Legion. He was also affiliated with Stafford Grange and the Genesee Milk Council.
Surviving Mr. Branton are his wife, the former Isabella Kellogg; a son, Raymond J. Branton of Stafford; a daughter, Mrs. Richard M. Zorn of 12 River Street; a sister, Mrs. William A. Garwood of the West Main Street Road, and five grandchildren.
