LITTLETON — Reginald J Walton 64 died June 10 1993 at Manning SC as the result of an automobile accident. He was born May 15, 1929, at Presque Isle and was the son of Dorothy (Argraves) Walton and the late Elmer Bernard Walton. Reggie attended Presque Isle schools and was a 1948 graduate of Presque Isle High School. He also graduated from Ricker College and served in the US Army. He worked for the Fellows Gear Shaper of Bellows Falls Vt., CA Powers Co, was district manager of the Putnam Brothers Oil Co, regional manager for the Gibbs Oil Co and started the Walton Petroleum Co in 1974.
He served as board member executive board member and chairman of the Northern Maine Regional Planning Commission, served on the Southern Aroostook Growth Council. He was a member of the Houlton International Flying Club, Houlton Lodge of Elks and the Aroostook Crime Stoppers.
Reggie was a devoted and loving husband father grandfather and friend. Many relied on his strength, integrity, honesty and sense of humor. His advice and wisdom provided guidance vision and support to not only his family but the entire community. He will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his mother of Littleton; his wife Hilda Jean (Brown) Walton of Littleton; one son Chad of Bangor; three daughters Wendy Tripp of Bangor, Robin Norsworthy of Presque Isle and Karen Greenlaw of Westerly RI; one sister Maxine Iceland; three brothers Robert "Bob" Walton, Alan "Skip" Walton and Gary Walton; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one sister Jeannie and two brothers Jackie and Bernard "Bunny"
Funeral services will be held at Houlton Wesleyan Church 11 am Saturday. Interment will be in Littleton Cemetery. Friends may make gifts in his memory to the Aroostook Crime Stoppers care of Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St, Houlton 04730.
