Funeral services for Ernest Franklin Short of Portland, Oregon, was held Tuesday, March 23, in Ross Hollywood Chapel in Portland, Oregon. Entombment was in Riverview Abbey Mausoleum. He died of a kidney disease at his home in Portland on Thursday, March 18.

Mr. Short was born September 14, 1919, in Wilsonville, Nebraska and moved to Portland about 29 years ago. He was self-employed as a lathing contractor.

He was a member of Friendship Lodge No. 160, AF&AM, and Christian Court No. 8, Order of Amaranth.

He is survived by his widow, Mary; two daughters, Sandra and Cheryl; one son, O'Brien; father, Glenn, Portland; two brothers, Edwin A., Seattle, and Eugene, Portland; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Barnett, Portland, and Mrs. Rosella Stansbury, Nelson, Nebraska.
