Imogene S. Holecek, 97, of Keokuk, died Thursday, June 17, 2004.
She was born January 19, 1907, at Warsaw, Ill., the daughter of VanBuren and Amanda Woods Knight. She married Virgil Symmonds on Jan. 30, 1923. She later married Joseph Holecek on March 10, 1973. She worked several years at St. Joseph hospital in Keokuk as a nurse's aide. She worked at Baker's Rexall in Keokuk for several years after that. She was a member of the Anchor of Hope Fellowship Church, formerly the Pentecostal Christian Fellowship.
Survivors include five daughters, Laura Stoneking of Burlington, Hazel Huffman of Keokuk, Mary Kratzer of Phoenix, Ariz., Ruth Evenchai of Denton, Texas and Julie Greer of Keokuk; one son, William Symmonds of Fort Madison, 36 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren and 38 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, one daughter, four sisters, three grandsons, and one great grandson.
Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, with the family meeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home, Keokuk.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 20, at the Anchor of Hope Fellowship Church in Keokuk, with the Rev. John Varner and the Rev. John Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the Anchor of Hope Fellowship Church.
