W. Floyd CARTER: Final rites for W. Floyd Carter, 76, of 3903 East Admiral Court, Tulsa, OK, who passed away Wednesday, Jan 16 in Doctor's Hospital of Tulsa were held Friday, Jan 18 at 10 a.m. at the Moore Funeral Chapel in Tulsa with Rev. John W. Dutro officiating. Soloist selections were HOW GREAT THOU ART, BEYOND THE SUNSET and THE KING IS COMING. Graveside services conducted by Rev. Charles Weston of Monett, was held in Kings Prairie Cemetery, southeast of Monett, Fri at 3.

W. Floyd CARETER was born and raised in Barry County in the Kings Prairie Community, but he had resided in Tulsa for several years. He was a Navy Veteran of WW I, member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Tulsa; Mason, member of Pilgrim Lodge 522, and American Legion. He retired from Industrial Fabricating Co in 1966. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle of the home; one son, Billy F. of the home, a brother Fay Carter of Joplin; three sisters, MRS. A.M. Samuel, Purdy, Mrs. Ronald Weisman and Mrs. Russell Weisman of Springfield, several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
