BALDWYN - Cebron A. Surratt, 84, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at Beverly Health Care in Tupelo after a long illness. He was a retired employee of the 1st District of Lee County. He was an avid coon hunter and fisherman, and loved the outdoors.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Beam officiating. Burial will be in the Baldwyn Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Vivian J. Surratt of Baldwyn; three sons, Alec Surratt and wife, Donna, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Tommy Surratt and wife, Phyllis, of Saltillo, and Bobby Surratt of Baldwyn; a granddaughter, Tammy Vasquez and husband, Tom, of Tupelo; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Minnie Surratt; a grandson, Tracy Surratt; five brothers, Adrian, Clelon, John L., Herschel and Herman; and a sister, Surena Enis.

Pallbearers will be Mike Surratt, Ken Surratt, Tim Surratt, James Downs, George Graves, Bobby Joyner and Billy Robison.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
