Steven S. Barnes long time resident of Semmes and graduate of Mary G. Montgomery High school, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011. Mr. Barnes was a loving and caring husband, father, and son which will be greatly missed. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his time on the river along with playing guitar, and riding horses. He is preceded in death by his dad, Hubert Barnes; maternal grandparents, Luther and Harriet Morgan; paternal grandparents, Commie and Mary Ardy Barnes. Mr. Barnes is survived by his wife, Sue Barnes; two sons, Steven (Seana) Barnes, Jr., and Jesse Michael Barnes; mother, Elizabeth Morgan Barnes; brother, Paul Wesley Barnes, and his father and mother in-law, Percy and Vivian Rowell. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with a visitation at the funeral home from 12:00 until service time.
