Bonnie I. Jewell, 59, of Oxford, IN. died at Franciscan Health St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette at 7:20 PM Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, following a brief illness.
Bonnie was born in Portland, IN. October 17, 1952, the daughter of the late Archie and Sarah Ireland Jewell, and one of 21 children.
She married Jerry Jewell June 2, 1973. He preceded her in death June 2, 2009.
Bonnie was a graduate of Morton Memorial High School in Knightstown, IN. and a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church. She was employed by Benton County at the Benton County Retirement Home as a cook and housekeeper.
Surviving are a daughter, Sarah Jewell (fiancé Michael Troman) of Fowler, IN.; a son, Kyle Jewell of Oxford; and 2 granddaughters, Natalie and Abbygail Troman.
Her remains will be interred at Remington Cemetery, Remington, IN. at 2:00 PM (EST) Friday, Nov. 18, followed by a memorial service at the Oxford United Methodist Church on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 11:00 AM (EST), Rev.
