Kitzmillers Will Observe Golden Wedding Thursday

MINSTER, Sept. 12 - Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kitzmiller will observe their golden wedding anniversary Thursday, Sept. 17 and will celebrate the event with member of their family and friends Sunday, Sept. 20.

A high mass of thanksgiving will be sung in St. Augustine's Catholic Church, where they were married in 1903, at 7 a.m. on their anniversary date. Featuring the celebration will be a family dinner at the residence at noon and open house 2 to 5 p.m

They are parents of nine children and have 14 grandchildren. The children are Wilfred, Frank, Charles, Wilma and Janette Kitzmiller, Mrs. Gerald Niekamp and Mrs. Albert Barhorst, all of here; Paul of Ft. Loramie and Elmer of New Bremen.

MINSTER - Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Augustine's Catholic Church for Charles J. Kitzmiller, 83, who died at 10:15 p.m. Monday at his residence, 104 S. Ohio St., after a two-year illness. The Rev. William Meyer will officiate. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

A native of Canton, he came here in his youth and married Emma Lambers in 1903. She died in 1953.

Survivors are five sons, Wilford, Charles and Frank Kitzmiller, Minster; Paul, Route 1, Minster; Elmer, New Bremen; four daughters, Mrs. Albert Barhorst, Mrs. Gerald Niekamp, Wilma and Janet Kitzmiller, all of Minster; and 16 grandchildren.

The body will be at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home until time for services.
