Mary L. Aydelotte, 72, died Saturday at the Alamosa hospital after several years of poor health. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Pioneer United Church with Rev. Lee Corey officiating. Order of Eastern Star conducted the graveside services.
Mary was a native of Del Norte, daughter of Frank Lohr, Sr. and Lena Schneider Lohr. She attended Del Norte schools, graduating in the 1923 class. Mary and Chris Aydelotte were married in 1935. A year ago, they moved to the veteran’s center to live.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church; Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star; past Chief and past President of Pythian Sisters and Auxiliary; and member of Royal Neighbors, Social Hour, Territorial Daughters, and had received Grand Cross of Colors for work in Rainbow.
She is survived by her husband, one brother, Fred, and nieces and nephews.
