Bill was a welder and process engineer for American Motors in Kenosha,Wis.He was a member of the Litchfield Lodge 236 A.F.&A.M.,Knights Templar,St.Omar Commandry,and the Ansar Shrine in Springfield.
He was also a life member and past commander of VFW Post 3912,member of Kniery-Knagg American L egion Post 436 and Amvets Post 16 all in Litchfield,Ill.
Bill was a college graduate.His tour of duty with the Army included China,Burma and India.
He was born in Morgan County near Arnold,a son of Amos William and Katherine Saffer Laurent.He married Elaine Delores Blank on June 29,1949,in Kenosha,Wis.
