Phog, age 66, was found dead at his home in Coffeyville of an apparent heart attack. He was the son of James M. and Lizzie May (Lanning) Allen. He graduated from Edna High School. He married Maggie Ruth Howard on December 16, 1939, in Pineville, Missouri. He served in the Navy in World War II.

He is survived by his daughter, Berlene Smith, his stepson, Howard Storm, his brother, Chesley Beahm, his half-sister, Marie Wackerle, and three grandchildren.

Services were held at Ford Funeral Service Colonial Chapel. Burial was in North Edna Cemetery in Edna.
