Winifred Shearin, 94, formerly of Danville, died Tuesday at Homestead Nursing Home in Lexington.
Born Oct. 2, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Betty Turnbull Tuttle. She was the only living charter member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Winifred was the widow of J.T. Shearin. She was predeceased by a son, Henry Lloyd Shearin.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Dan Selby of Lexington; a sister, Edith Marsee of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Meg Selby Jones and her husband, Brice, and Zachary Selby and his fiancé, Danni Quintos, both of Lexington.
