McDonnell, Leo "Mac" V., 84, of Paden City died Wednesday, November 08, 2006 at Sistersville General Hospital. He was born March 7, 1922 in Wheeling, WV the son of the late Guy and Caroline Kirkpatrick McDonnell. Leo was a mechanic for Dobkin Brothers for 39 years, a WWII Army veteran, and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Paden City. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife, Marlene Johnston McDonnell (1993) to whom he was married for 38 years, a son, Robert McDonnell, a brother, Charles McDonnell, a sister, Mary Kanick; a daughter-in-law, Chris McDonnell. Surviving are six sons, Gary McDonnell and his wife, Norma, Leo McDonnell all of England, Roy McDonnell of Paden City, WV, George McDonnell and his wife, Liz of Paden City, WV, David McDonnell of Arlington, VA, and John McDonnell of Paden City, WV; two daughters, Patty McDonnell and Sue Tennant and her husband, Mark of Paden City, WV; a sister, Rosie Meyers of Wheeling, WV; nine grand children, Wesley, Whitney, Brittany, Lindsay, Cari, Janice, Karen, Michelle, Joanne; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.—Friday, November 10, 2006 at Jarvis Funeral Home Paden City where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2006 with the Rev. Bernie Pennington officiating. Interment Halcyon Memorial Park, Sherrard, WV.
